Check your plan, see if your plan includes international roaming in Mexico.
Activate roaming, turn on data and voice roaming. Can be an expensive option.
Use Wi-Fi, you can connect to Wi-Fi networks in public spaces for free internet.
Buy a local SIM card, you can get it from a Mexican carrier. This is usually cheaper that international roaming. You'll have a Mexican number, and to have access to your US number you'll have to swap to your US SIM card.
Use an eSIM, if your phone has the eSIM option , you can switch to a Mexican carrier without swapping cards.
Download offline content, like maps, music, movies and Netflix content so you can use it without data.
Turn off data roaming when you're not using it to avoid unexpected charges.
Some carriers offer international plans for about $10 a day.
